Indications/Uses
Resp affections characterized by thick & viscous hypersecretions eg, acute or chronic bronchitis & its exacerbations; pulmonary emphysema, mucoviscidosis & bronchieactasis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Resp tract 1 tab daily (preferably at night). Paracetamol toxication (accidental or non-accidental) Early dose: 140 mg/kg. 10 hr after toxication: 70 mg/kg every 4 hr for 1-3 days. Uropathy from iso & cyclophosphamide 1 g 4 times daily.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Dissolve 1 tab in a glass of water (approx 200 mL). Take after evening meal.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Administer after food intake in patients w/ gastritis. Not recommended for DM patients until blood glucose level is controlled at normal level.
Adverse Reactions
Hypersensitivity reactions eg, bronchospasm, angioedema, rashes & pruritus. Nausea & vomiting, fever, syncope, sweating, arthralgia, blurred vision, liver function disturbances.
