Nausea & vomiting induced by chemotherapy Adult IV Prevention: 1-3 mg (10-40 mcg/kg) as a slow IV inj (>30 sec) or diluted in 20-50 mL of infusion fluid & administered over 5 min prior to the start of chemotherapy. Treatment: 1-3 mg (10-40 mcg/kg) as a slow IV inj (>30 sec) or diluted in 20-50 mL of infusion fluid & administered over 5 min. If needed, additional doses can be administered over 10 min after the last administration. Max dose: 9 mg to be administered over 24 hr.
IM Prevention & treatment: 3 mg administered 15 min prior to the start of chemotherapy. 2 subsequent 3 mg dose may be administered w/in 24 hr period if required.
Childn IV 10-40 mcg/kg (up to 3 mg) by IV infusion, diluted in 10-30 mL of infusion fluid & administered over 5 min prior to the start of chemotherapy. 1 additional dose should be administered w/in 24 hr if required, given at least 10 min after initial infusion.
Nausea & vomiting induced by RT Adult IV Prevention: 1-3 mg (10-40 mcg/kg) as a slow IV inj (>30 sec) or diluted in 20-50 mL of infusion fluid & administered over 5 min prior to the start of RT.
Post-op nausea & vomiting Adult IV Prevention: 1 mg (10 mcg/kg) as a slow IV inj (>30 sec) before anesth induction. Treatment: 1 mg (10 mcg/kg) by slow IV inj (>30 sec). Max dose: 3 mg daily. Max dose & duration of treatment: 2 doses (2 mg) daily.
