Emergency treatment of acute hypertensive crisis during surgery 0.01-0.02% IV drip infusion (equiv 0.1-0.2 mg/mL) at a rate of 2-10 μg/kg/min until the desired BP value is reached. Rapid BP reduction 10-30 μg/kg IV inj. Hypertensive emergency 0.01-0.02% IV drip infusion (equiv 0.1-0.2 mg/mL) at a rate of 0.5 μg/kg/min until the desired BP value is reached.
Hypersensitivity. Patients recovering w/ incomplete hemostasis following intracranial bleeding; increased intracranial pressure in acute stroke in the brain.
Gradual dose reduction & carefully control BP after discontinuation of treatment. Aortic stenosis. Closely monitor BP & heart rate. Discontinue use if hypotension occurs, norepinephrine should be given if rapid recovery is needed. Change inj site if pain or redness appear. Patients in post-op monitoring period after open heart surgery may experience circulatory failure. Renal or hepatic dysfunction. Pregnancy & women suspected of being pregnant. Not recommended during lactation. Infants & childn. Elderly.
