Al silicate (microporous ceramic)

Indications/Uses

Acute & chronic (non-healing) wounds of skin.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Heavily exuding wound Change 6-8 hrly. Non-exuding wound Up to 7 days provided it is kept dry.

Contraindications

Malignant ulcers. Ulcers of uncertain origin unless proved benign.

Special Precautions

A biopsy of wound should be performed if nature or origin is in any doubt.

Adverse Reactions

Pain in some very old, unsuccessfully treated wounds w/ other modalities.
