Discontinue use if irritation or sensitivity develops. Application to extensive surface area as systemic effect could occur resulting in the feature of hypercorticism. Not for ophth use. If treatment is required for use in childn or on face, course of treatment should be limited up to 5 days. Use on face area, hip and axilla. Pregnancy & lactation. Long-term use on infant & childn.
Adverse Reactions
Burning, itching, irritation, dryness, folliculitis, hypertrichosis, acneiform eruptions, hypopigmentation, maceration of the skin, secondary infection, skin atrophy, striae & miliaria. Large doses of corticosteroids may cause symptoms typical or hyperactivity of the adrenal cortex, w/ moon face, sometimes w/ hirsutism, buffalo hump, flushing, sometimes leading to a fully developed Cushing’s syndrome.
