Involutional syndrome related to aging (memory deficit, asthenia, adaptation disorders, psychomotor disorders), chronic alcoholism & addiction (predelirium, delirium, intellectual deficits due to chronic alcoholism, detoxification treatment), post-traumatic syndrome.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Involutional syndrome related to aging Initially 2.4 mg/day in 3 divided doses for 6 wk. Maintenance: 1.2 g/day in 3 divided doses. Post-traumatic syndrome Initially 800 mg 3 times daily, may be reduced gradually to 400 mg 3 times daily if desired effect has been achieved.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach.
Contraindications
Severe renal insufficiency (CrCl <20 mL/min), cerebral haemorrhage.
