Contents
Per cap Paracetamol 325 mg, phenylpropanolamine HCl 12.5 mg, ethylephedrine HCl 12.5 mg, chlorpheniramine maleate 1 mg, dextromethorphan HBr 10 mg, guaifenesin 50 mg. Per 5 mL susp Paracetamol 150 mg, phenylpropanolamine HCl 6.25 mg, ethylephedrine HCl 6.25 mg, chlorpheniramine maleate 0.75 mg, dextromethorphan HBr 5 mg, guaifenesin 50 mg
Indications/Uses
Relief of symptoms w/ URTI.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 1 cap or 2-4 tsp. Childn 7-12 yr 1-2 tsp, 2-6 yr 1 tsp. Infant ½-1 tsp. To be taken 3-4 times daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hyperthyroidism, HTN, coronary disease; MAOI therapy; nephropathy.
Special Precautions
Glaucoma, cardiac, renal or hepatic disease; diabetes, asthma. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
GI upsets, drowsiness, dizziness; dry mouth, difficulty in micturition, sweating, reduced appetite; epileptiform seizures (large doses).
Drug Interactions
Antihistamines may potentiate other CNS depressants. Actions prolonged by MAOI. Prolonged use of paracetamol may potentiate oral anticoagulants.
