Desloratadine
Indications/Uses
Allergic rhinitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & adolescent (≥12 yr) 10 mL once daily. Childn 6-11 yr 5 mL once daily, 1-5 yr 2.5 mL once daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Renal impairment. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <1 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Diarrhea, fever, insomnia, fatigue, dry mouth, headache, heart disorders (tachycardia, palpitation, psychomotor hyperactivity, seizure), GI disturbances (abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia), liver & gall bladder disorders (hepatitis, increased liver enzyme & bilirubin), hypersensitivity reactions (anaphylaxis, angioedema, pruritus, skin redness, urticaria).
