Indications and Dosage
Oral
Visceral spasms
Adult: 7.5-10 mg daily.
Contraindications
Prostatic enlargement, paralytic ileus, pyloric stenosis, closed-angle glaucoma, myasthenia gravis.
Special Precautions
Childn and elderly; febrile conditions, tachycardia, acute MI, hypertension, ulcerative colitis, diarrhoea. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy and lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Dryness of mouth, difficulty in swallowing and talking, thirst, reduced bronchial secretions, mydriasis with cycloplegia, photophobia, flushing, dryness of skin, transient bradycardia followed by tachycardia with palpitations and arrhythmias, difficulty in micturition, reduced tone and motility of GIT, vomiting.
