Indications and Dosage
Topical/Cutaneous
Skin protectant
Adult: As 5% cream: Apply liberally covering entire affected area as needed. As 1.2 % lotion: Apply to affected area as needed.
Child: Same as adult dose.

Topical/Cutaneous
Head pediculosis
Adult: A 4% soln: Apply once wkly for 2 doses. Rub into hair and scalp, allow to dry naturally, shampoo after Min 8 hr or overnight.
Child: ≥6 mth Same as adult dose.
Special Precautions
Childn.
Adverse Reactions
Dermatologic: Irritation of the skin and around the eyes, itchy or flaky scalp, hypersensitivity reactions.
Patient Counseling Information
Avoid hair exposure to open flame or other source of ignition during or after application. Avoid contact w/ the eyes.
Action
Description:
Mechanism of Action: Dimeticone is commonly found in pharmaceutical and cosmetic preparations. It physically coats lice hence disrupting water homeostasis resulting to gut rupture and death. It is also used to protect and relieves chafed, chapped or cracked skin.
Storage
Store at room temp. Do not freeze. Protect from excessive heat.
