Indications/Uses
Emergency treatment in acute hypertensive crisis during surgery. Hypertensive emergencies.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Emergency treatment of acute hypertensive crisis during surgery 2-10 mcg/kg/min by IV drip infusion until desired BP value is reached. For rapid BP reduction, administer intact at a dose of 10-30 mcg/kg by IV inj. Hypertensive emergencies 0.5-6 mcg/kg/min by IV drip infusion at a rate of 0.5 mcg/kg/min until the desired BP value is reached.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Suspected abnormal hemostasis after intracranial hemorrhage; elevated intracranial BP at acute stroke stage of the brain.
Special Precautions
Avoid abrupt w/drawal.
Adverse Reactions
Tachycardia, redness & flushed sensation on the face, paralytic ileus, hypoxemia, angina pain, thrombocytopenia, liver function disorder & jaundice.
Drug Interactions
HIV PIs & other hypotensive drugs, β-blocker, propanolol, fentanyl, digoxin, immunosuppressants, cyclosporine, tacrolimus hydrate, phenytoin, rifamycin, dantrolene Na, tandospirone, nitroglycerin & relaxants, pancuronium bromide, vecuronium bromide.
