Relief of pain in headache, toothache, dysmenorrhea, muscle & joint pain, common cold, flu, reduces fever.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 0.5-1 g 3-4 times daily, max 4 g daily. Childn 7-12 yr 250 mg, max 1 g daily, 1-6 yr 125 mg, max 750 mg daily, <1 yr 60 mg. To be taken 3-4 times daily.
Contraindications
Liver dysfunction.
Special Precautions
Concomitant administration of other drugs that affect the liver; renal & hepatic failure.
Delayed absorption; by anticholinergic drugs or opioid analgesics. Increased toxicity when used w/ alcohol or antiepileptic drugs. Increase the anticoagulants response to coumarin & the conc of chloramphenicol.
