Contents

Indications/Uses
Multivit & mineral prep for the prevention & correction of vit & mineral deficiencies in prep for pregnancy as doctor's recommendation, during pregnancy & lactation.
Dosage/Direction for Use
1 tab daily 1 mth before conception & throughout pregnancy & lactation. To be taken at noon or in the evening in case of morning sickness.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Swallow whole w/ a glass of water. Take preferably w/ a meal.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Existing hypervitaminosis D; hypercalcaemia; severe hypercalciuria; Fe &/or Cu metabolism disorders. Severe impaired renal function.
Special Precautions
Very high doses of vit D, Fe & Cu. Concomitant use w/ other single vit or multivit prep, any other medication or those under medical care. Supplements &/or fortified foods/drinks containing vit D may cause hypervitaminosis D (large daily doses). Patients w/ nephrolithiasis or urolithiasis. Hepatic impairment.
Adverse Reactions
GI & abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, nausea & vomiting; allergic or anaphylactic reaction eg, hives, facial swelling, wheezing, skin reddening, rash, blisters, & shock; black colouring of the stool; slight yellow discoloration of urine; hypercalciuria; headache, dizziness, insomnia, nervousness.
Drug Interactions
Fe absorption may be decreased by concurrent administration w/ antacids, gastric acid suppressive medications, fluoroquinolone, bisphosphonates, levodopa, levothyroxine, penicillamine, tetracycline antibiotics or trientine. Products containing Ca, Mg, Fe, Cu or Zn may interact w/ orally administered antacids, antibiotics (tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones), levodopa, biphosphonates, penicillamine, thyroxine, trientine, digitalis, antiviral agents & thiazide diuretics. Oxalic acid (found in spinach & rhubarb) & phytic acid (found in whole cereals) may inhibit Ca absorption. Co-administration w/ other products should be separated by 2-3 hr interval.
