Indications and Dosage

Topical/Cutaneous
Corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses

Adult: Apply a sparingly thin layer of 0.02% cream, oint or lotion over affected areas bid-tid for 7-10 days.

Contraindications

Untreated infections; child <2 yr.

Special Precautions

Avoid prolonged use.

Adverse Reactions

Local hypersensitivity.

Mechanism of Action: Flumetasone, a topical corticosteroid which has glucocorticoid activity, exhibits anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects by inhibiting the release of various cytokines.
