Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.

Special Precautions
Sensitivity. Avoid contact with eyes, nose and mucous membranes.

Adverse Reactions
Topical: whitening and hardening of skin; contact dermatitis, sensitivity reactions. Oral: intense pain accompanied by inflammation, ulceration, necrosis of mucous membranes; vomiting, haematemesis, blood-stained diarrhoea; haematuria, anuria, metabolic acidosis, vertigo, convulsions, loss of consciousness; circulatory failure.

Drug Interactions
Formaldehyde decreases antimicrobial effects of drugs by reacting with protein.
